Simply open your PAF file, choose your subject, select your chart and print! Or, to share with family and friends, choose the publish to PDF option and send your chart by e-mail.

Browse through generations of your family tree using the onscreen tree views. Use PAF Companion's extensive search capability to find elusive information you may have stored in your family file.

You can also customize your charts. Choose the number of generations, the events to include, the content of your box charts, line widths, date format, photos, etc. Save charts in a range of file types for sharing and printing.

With the "Cousin Smart" option, you can avoid duplicate individuals on charts. For international users, PAF Companion accommodates different paper sizes (eg. A4, B3), metrics unit of measure, and western European characters with diacritics.

Free Basic Version

A free Basic Version of PAF Companion is also available for download at The Church's genealogy website FamilySearch.org.

With this Basic Version you can print only 3 generations of the Ancestor and Descendant Charts. As well the Compare to Pedigree Resource File (PRF) feature is disabled in the Basic Version so you cannot compare your family tree to the PRF Master Index to identify more names to search.

To print and publish unlimited number of generations using all 12 charts and reports and to use the Compare to PRF feature, you will need to upgrade to the Full Version at a cost of only $6.75US.
