Map My Family Tree includes all the features of World Place Advisor plus it automatically plots ancestral life events (births, marriages, deaths, etc.) on customizable, color maps. Not only can you see where your ancestors were born, married and died, but you can also track family migrations using the world and country maps.
Map My Family Tree uses state-of-the-art vector mapping technology so you see more, not less, geographic detail as you zoom in from the world and country maps down to detailed local jurisdictions.
Customize your maps with over 16-million colors and a wide range of font styles and sizes. Print your maps on a wide variety of paper sizes and electronically publish them in many popular file formats to display on websites and email to family and friends. Use these published maps to collaborate with other researchers.
Automatically link to Google™ Earth, Google Maps, TerraServer USA and MapQuest.com to see your ancestors' home towns on online maps, satellite images and aerial photographs.
Use the time scroll bar to dynamically select which time period you want displayed on your map. As you slide the thumbtrack along the scroll bar, you will see the towns “twinkling” to show the movements, voyages and migrations of your ancestors.
Select which people and events you want displayed on your map by filtering your data by name, ancestor line, descendant line, date, event type and gender. This is especially helpful when you want to create maps with single family lines, births only, events from a specific time period, etc.
Post place markers to highlight certain individuals, family lines, events, etc. Select from a list of place markers of varying shapes and colors or import one or more images to use as custom place markers.
Map My Family Tree reads all popular genealogy file formats listed below so you do not have to import a GEDCOM file.
