Problem: For whom should
I search in the 1860 census?
Genelines helps by showing
all those people who were alive when a given historical event occurred.
The following example shows that everyone in the immediate family
group should have been recorded in the 1860 census since their life
bars all intersect with the occurrence of that event. Note that
the life spans of the grandparents and children are estimated i.e.
there are no recorded birth and death dates. These people would
not have been revealed in a date search with your standard genealogy
database program. However, because Genelines estimates their life
spans it becomes very obvious that they were likely to be alive
when the 1860 census was taken.
