Problem: Do I have duplicate
people in my database?
Genelines helps by identifying
possible duplicate people because they appear as separate, parallel
life bars (at same point in time) on a timeline chart. In the following
Family Group chart, Michel Boudrot and Michel Boudreau seemed to
have lived at the same time, each married to Michelle Aucoin. Are
these actually two different husbands or the same person recorded
twice?
To examine the problem further, a Comparative
Biographical Chart created for Michel Boudreau and Michel Boudrot
provides an even more detailed comparison. Both individuals are
born within a year of each other. Both have the same last name,
just with different spellings. Genelines has estimated the marriage
to be around the same time. Both have a child named Charles.
Conclusion: It seems
very likely that the two are the same people, given the same last
name, almost the same birth date, same child name, and the same
time frame in which the two families “co-existed.” More
research is needed to confirm.
