How Do I Download |
| To download a timeline file, browse through the list of available files until you find one that you are interested in. Once you've found one just click on it. A new box will appear asking if you want to open or save the file. Do not select the Run button. Instead, click the Save button and save the file on your hard drive. You can save the file anywhere on your computer, however the History folder in the Genelines is a good place to store the files. See C:\Program Files\Genelines\History |

How Do I Open the Downloaded File |
| The timeline files have a *.hst extension and can only be opened with your Genelines program. To open the file:
1. Open up Genelines and open your family file.
2. Select File, Import History
3. Browse to the history file you want and click the Open button.
4. Click the Select All button, then the Import button, then the Replace button.
5. Select View, Historical Events from the menu. All the events from the file will be listed in the Historical Events screen.
