Can I use this to mark files other people
share with me?
Correct sourcing is a common problem for
many researchers today, especially for those who import GEDCOM files
created by others into their own data files. When those GEDCOM files
are imported, it is easy to lose track of where the information
came from. To get around this, some genealogists have been forced
to manually add a source to everyone they import, and as a result
miss sourcing some individuals, or even add a source to the wrong
individuals.
With GEDmark, you can mark each individual
in the GEDCOM file with the correct author information before importing
it into your own file. This way, you will always have the source
of the information stored with the correct people.
